The athletes of Elis maintained an unbroken string of victories until the. 14th Olympiad at which time the second race of two lengths of the stadium was added. In the 15th Olympiad, an endurance event was added in which the athletes went 12 times around the stadium, about 4 1/2 kilometers.

Asking for help can sometimes be a daunting task. Half of students aren’t in the habit of asking questions to their teacher when they need help – and it’s those students who get lower grades. Sending an email is a particularly good way to pose questions to your teacher because the teacher will respond.

The pain you feel today is the strength you will feel tomorrow. For every challenge encountered there is an opportunity for growth.

Academic advisers, be they professionals who do advising full-time or faculty, can do much to enhance a student’s experience in college. But students never benefit unless they seek out advisers.

That is what school beat into us by putting certain types of intelligence on a pedestal and ignoring other types. If you are not good at math or language, you might still be gifted at other things but it was not called “intelligence”. Why?
