In the celebration of the arrival of 2018 Winter Sports Event, the National Snowboarding Games will be held on January, which will also be a featured winter sports brand of Yanqing District. Zhangjiakou is one of the venue for the 2018 Winter Sports Event. The Beijing and Zhangjiakou Teenage Alpine Skiing Friendly Match is to promote winter sports and the Winter Sports Event among teenagers.

The yearly Winter Sports Event is an elite sporting event for young people from all over the world. The sports program is based on that of the Olympic Games, with 28 sports on the winter program. This year’s Winter Olympiad will begin late on October 2018 and end on January 2019.
